Nigerian music star Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has said he will not reunite with his former group, Plantashun Boiz, stating clearly that he is no longer interested in returning to the defunct trio.

The singer made the statement during a recent radio interview with media personality Steve Onu as part of activities marking his forthcoming 25 years on stage celebration.

Addressing speculation about a possible reunion, 2Baba said he has moved on from that phase of his career, although he maintains there is no conflict between him and his former bandmates.

“Other members of the group can go ahead, but as for me, I am not interested,” he said, adding, “I have no issues with anyone, but it is not going to happen.”

Plantashun Boiz, which also featured Blackface and Faze, rose to prominence in the early 2000s and played a significant role in shaping Nigeria’s modern Afro pop sound before the group disbanded.

Despite repeated calls from fans for a reunion, 2Baba’s latest remarks indicate that such expectations may not be realized, as he continues to focus on his solo career and legacy projects.

The announcement comes as the veteran artiste prepares to celebrate 25 years in the music industry with a special concert, reinforcing his standing as one of Nigeria’s most enduring performers.
