Heirs Insurance Group and United Capital Plc have partnered to host a wellness and financial empowerment event in Lagos aimed at helping Nigerian women balance self care with financial planning and asset protection.

The event, tagged Yoga and Money Meet Up, brought together guided yoga sessions and expert discussions on insurance, investment, and financial security. It was designed to promote both physical wellbeing and financial literacy among professional and entrepreneurial women.

Organisers said the initiative reflects a shared goal of making financial wellness more accessible and practical, especially for women managing multiple responsibilities across careers, businesses, and family life.

Speaking at the event, Chief Marketing Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, Ifesinachi Okoli Okpagu, said financial protection should be seen as an essential part of self care. She noted that many women face challenges balancing daily responsibilities with protecting their assets and securing their financial future.

She also introduced a motor insurance product designed specifically for women, offering coverage against accidents, fire, theft, and other risks. The plan includes 24 hour roadside assistance and additional benefits such as discounts on wellness services through partner programmes.

According to her, the initiative is aimed at addressing practical financial risks while encouraging healthier lifestyle choices and stronger financial planning habits among women.

Also speaking, Managing Director of United Capital Asset Management, Dr Odiri Oginni, said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to empowering women through financial inclusion. She explained that financial independence and personal wellness are closely linked and must be addressed together.

She highlighted the firm’s investment initiative targeted at women, which is designed to provide accessible and structured opportunities for long term wealth creation and financial security.

Both organisations said the programme is part of a broader effort to support women with tools that combine financial education, investment opportunities, and wellbeing strategies.

Heirs Insurance Group operates as part of Heirs Holdings, while United Capital Plc provides investment and financial services across several African markets, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory Coast.
